About H.E.R.

I’ve always felt spaces more than I’ve seen them. As a kid, I wasn’t just rearranging my room—I was shifting energy, searching for that invisible thread where comfort meets clarity. I’d drag furniture across the floor, tuck plants into corners, swap out colors, and marvel at how the smallest changes could spark a sense of peace. I didn’t know it then, but I was already learning the language of design, one instinctive adjustment at a time.

Nature was my first muse. Its wildness, its balance, its effortless beauty—it taught me how environments heal us without asking for anything in return. That deep connection to the natural world shaped not just my aesthetic but my understanding of what it means to feel truly at home.

In high school, a "dream house" project lit a spark. Suddenly, I realized design wasn’t just a hobby—it was a calling. That led me to Mercyhurst University, where I earned a degree in Interior Architecture and Design in 2018. Surrounded by mentors who emphasized sustainability and thoughtful, research-driven practices, I discovered that design isn’t just about creating beautiful spaces. It’s about shaping environments that shape us in return. A quote on the wall of our design studio stayed with me: "We shape our buildings, and thereafter they shape us." — Winston Churchill. That’s not just theory—it’s a truth I see in every project I touch.

In 2019, I took a leap of faith and founded H.E.R. Interior Architecture and Design. It wasn’t perfect. It wasn’t polished. But it was mine. As I evolved, so did my work. H.E.R. Design in 2020 reflected my growing skills. By 2022, it became H.E.R. Life Design, as I leaned deeper into the connection between space and well-being. And in 2024, it transformed again—H.E.R. Holistic Design—a name that finally felt like home, just like the spaces I create.

But design is only part of the story. I craved a deeper understanding of how environments affect every layer of our lives. So, I became an Ecological Leader through the Lake Erie Institute and earned certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. These experiences weren’t just bullet points on a resume—they were transformative. They taught me how to blend principles of permaculture, Feng Shui, mindfulness, and ancient wisdom into my design practice. They helped me see that a well-designed space isn’t just functional—it’s medicinal.

H.E.R. Holistic Design is the culmination of my personal and professional journey. It’s where sustainability meets soul, where intentional design nurtures not just the body but the mind and spirit. I believe everyone deserves a space that feels like a sanctuary, whether it’s a cozy corner or an expansive home. My mission is to create environments that reduce stress, support well-being, and honor the natural world we’re all a part of.

This isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s about alignment. It’s about creating spaces that reflect who you are, who you’re becoming, and the life you’re meant to live. Let’s design more than a room—let’s design your next chapter.
